Remember when Digicel launched their 4G service on Curacao back in 2011? Remember how UTS – in a very dip shit UTS manner – tried to steal Digicel’s thunder by posting a 4G ad in the newspaper? And remember what a big disappointment the UTS 4G launch was exactly one year ago? Well, it took a while, but UTS has finally rolled out their 4G+ service for pre-paid users. *
* Yup, we’re still going to pretend that something called 4G+ exists.

There are no 4G+ pre-paid plans available yet for Blackberry users. Note that you will also need to replace your regular SIM with a 4G+ enabled SIM card to use this service, but this can be done for free at the UTS stores.
Keeping in mind that the ‘ATE’ price will soon be raised to Naf. 1,50 per day (Naf. 45,00 per month), Naf. 79,00 doesn’t look too bad in comparison.
Don’t get me wrong though. Paying Naf. 5,00 a day for Internet connection on your phone is extremely shitty and I’m not really jumping for joy at the thought of ponying up extra cash for a data only bundle, but knowing that I’ll get to drop ATE like a bad habit does make me want to cuddle with a penguin.
What say you, Winnie?
