Reader Question: Digicel APN for BlackBerry PDF Print E-mail

Blackberry

As you can see, it's been a few weeks since we've updated the site and the reason behind that is that we've been just so very busy the past month. We're tossing around the idea of adding another writer, we're looking into a possible re-design and a different scope for the site and in the end time is just very limited.


Either way, we have an interesting question here that maybe someone has an answer for. Reader "SignalEye" asks the following...

 

Hey guys...I know that Digicelcuracao is using its APN that is wap.digicelcuracao.com with a username and password..that I already got .Thats for normaal Mobile...
Now I`ve seen into a Blackberry configuration that it`s not using the APN but some TCP connection of what ever thing..
Was wondering if anyone could tell me what that configuration style is and if they are using any APN what APN name is it

 

We aren't Digicel customers and we're currently not using a Blackberry either so if you know the answer to this, please leave it in the comments....

    I was not interested in Blackberry from work, but I ordered an antivirus software for my colleague's Blackberry (UTS) and it never worked, because UTS could not give me an APN!

    I dont understand why you people trust the BB... dont you know that everything goes trough their server FIRST then to your phone?
    every email is being filtered & watched & what ever before it arrives to your phone..do you trust that? You are smart enough to know that FBI has everything in his hand.
    Any way...success with your BB and your email being watched,,,,
