Flow-to-Go Looks Pretty Damn Sweet

A few weeks ago, a company called UXP Systems turned heads at the 2012 Cable Show in Boston. Their MINT platform was selected by a group of top Chief Information Officers as tops in the industry.

What does MINT exactly do you ask?

UXP Systems announces MINT v2.0, the only operator platform to streamline and enable the extension of video, voice and messaging services across tablets, smartphones, PCs and set-top-boxes.

Did the word ‘set-top-box’ give it away? The MINT platform is what Flow will be using to bring us ‘Flow-to-Go’, the industry’s first multi-screen triple play service.

The service is being compared to a combination of Slingbox and Skype and the video below will show you why.

Yup, mr. Brendan Paddick, CEO of Columbus Communications, used a Flow land line in Trinidad to make a call while in Boston, to a cell phone in Boston and it didn’t cost him anything extra.

And yes,  sitting in Boston he also streamed NBC in HD on his iPad, using the IP TV platform. Should you not have time to watch live TV, you can record your hows digitally in the cloud and watch them later on any device that runs the Flow-to-Go app. That’s as awesome as playing glow in the dark golf with a midget.

So yeah, this is what Flow will be offering us soon in Curacao. We’ll have more information on pricing and availability as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, try to get out of your TDS contract if you haven’t already.
