We’ve given eZone plenty of grief for providing horrible service, but this vitriol should actually be aimed towards Nieuwe Post N.V., the company that used to handle packages for eZone here on Curacao. I say used to, because as of yesterday (February 15th), eZone’s packages will be handled by Complete Cargo Curacao.
eZone was the first to send out an email regarding the split and subsequent merger with Complete Cargo.

In an effort to provide you with the service you deserve and which we require for our loyal members and customers like yourselves, we have decided to change our agent in your territory. You are free to choose whatever service you prefer, but as of today, February 15th E Zone will now be handled by Complete Cargo Services N.V. in Curacao and we ask you to welcome them, as they strive to improve the E Zone service in your local destination:

Please note also, by the end of February, we will no longer be offering US Postal “caller box” service for your mail. We will only be offering our E Zone package service.

First of all allow me to thank you, on behalf of all my colleagues at Nieuwe Post, for the confidence you have demonstrated in our US address service. Nieuwe Post as an innovative company continuously seeks to improve our service and also demands this from our providers and business partners.
There are a couple of things that we at Nieuwe Post learned over the past years, namely that relationships do wither through years, that people do change address several times during their lifetime and that change is the only constant thing in life. In view of all the above, one should continuously strive to provide the best service.

At the time of these emails, it wasn’t entirely clear yet as to why the companies split up, but it didn’t take a genius to figure out that eZone was not happy with Nieuwe Post. They clearly confirmed it today with this post on Facebook, calling out Nieuwe Post for not having correct policies or systems in place to allow efficient package flow…
We changed because no matter how hard these individuals worked, NPNA did not have the correct policies or systems in place to allow the efficient flow of your packges. It should not take 10 days or more to receive a package in Curacao or Bonaire after it arrives on the flight. In most countries we serve, our customers will receive their package within 2 – 4 days after flight arrival. This is the level of service we demand for our customers and from our agents.
So, what’s next?
Well, I guess that you’ll have to start by deciding if you want to trust your packages to Nieuwe Post and PuntoMio, or to eZone and Complete Cargo. eZone did not waste any time and immediately went on the offensive, promising better and more efficient service…
Your package will arrive in Curacao on time, no delays. You will no longer have to deal with customs, it will now be done for you, so all you have to do is go to Complete Cargo and pick up the package. No more Customs hassle.
Will the prices change?
Complete Cargo’s website doesn’t have any pricing information and while PuntoMio does, you can’t select Curacao from the country list on their rate calculator page. We’ve reached out to both companies and will share any pricing information as soon as they provide it.
So, if I stay with eZone, I’ll have to go to the airport every time for my package?
Yes, every order as of February 15th will be handled by Complete Cargo and will have to be picked up at the SwissPort building at the airport. You should receive an email with your invoice, telling you that your package has arrived and that it can be picked up.
If the drive to the airport is a deal breaker for you, just hold on tight. eZone says that a downtown pick-up location will be opening soon and that Complete Cargo will be offering delivery service.
I still have so many questions…
